In this medium-high difficulty trekking, you have multiple ups and downs with lots of roots on the way. The path is circular and has an extension of 3.77 kilometers, ending at a viewpoint over the river Fuy.
Behold an unforgettable sunset behind the massif of the Mocho Choshuenco Volcano. At more than 1200 meters high and from the viewpoint “Las Lengas”, you can enjoy a cheese and wine while appreciating the silence and majesty of the mountain. Surprise yourself for two and a half hours with panoramic views of the Reserve and the Villarrica, Quetrupillán and Lanín volcanoes, as well as the Neltume and Pirehueico lakes.
In the middle of the forest, you can enjoy the thermal waters that flow naturally in Lake Pirehueico. There are 10 wooden jars that – made with old tree trunks – allow you to disconnect from the urban rhythm and feel the natural again. The departure is by boat from Puerto Fuy to the hot springs. The navigation in “Doña Hilda” is of 30 minutes, time in which you will observe the virgin shores of the lake and the native forest.
You can kayak to a beach of virgin and deserted forest, a dream come true. You will spend some time resting on the beach where you can sunbathe and if you are brave, you will take a dip in the cold waters of the lake. This family trip requires knowledge of kayaking and rowing as it comprises 12 kms. in total. There is the option of sailing in a kayak or seat on top, depending on the physical conditions of the passengers.
Arriving at the mouth of the Fuy River in Lake Panguipulli is an unforgettable adventure and ideal for living with your family. It presents class II rapids that give a sensation of adrenaline to the youngest. Once arriving at the lake, a paddling stretch begins to reach the beach in Choshuenco, where the activity ends.
